"Siva pujaku..." the song from the eternal classic Swarnakamalam has always been one of those songs I listen to when I feel a little low. This does not mean that the lyrics are all meant to be inspiring but there is a something in them that has always inspired me or consoled me.When I first wanted to write about this song and ggogled for the lyrics I was astonished as to see that lots of people have already written about it.
Even though it sounds like a duet it's more like an argument between the hero and the heroine who have a completely different outlook to life and their future. Sri Seetarama Sastry garu, the writer who penned the song believes that it is by far his toughest task and the wordplay in the song has no parallels in conveying the meaning of the situation the actors find themselves in. Yet off late I've found a completely new meaning to the song and very important lesson that can be drawn from it.
